I stand amazed at how many times I’ve crossed the path of Christians that know nothing about the bible. I’m just being honest. There are dozens of scriptures concerning the knowledge of God.
In the Hebrew meaning of knowledge it used words like perception, skill, discernment, understanding, wisdom.
Can you discern God’s word?
Put each of those words in the reading of the bible. Would
you consider yourself a person of knowledge in God’s word? Do you have
discernment in God’s word? Catch sight of what is being taught in that
reading?
I know of lot of people are thinking that it “comes by revelation”. But my question is, are you opening your bible to gain revelation?
He sent the words for us to study and show ourselves approved. When we are
thirsty we get a glass of water and drink. God has set the glass of water
before you, you are the one who has to pick up the glass and drink from it.
God doesn’t require you to be a genius,
but He wants you to
search the scriptures.
COLOSSIANS 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto
all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
JOHN 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye
have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
PROVERBS 1:7 The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of
knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction. 3
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, [and] liftest up thy voice for
understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and
searchest for her as [for] hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand
the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
